Any film of significance costs lots of money to produce. It entails paying for compensation for the production crew, travel (in this case to a foreign country), food and housing, equipment, archival material, transportation, editing, and many more costs! We are super appreciative of everyone who contributed to our initial fundraising efforts. However, we have lots more money to raise to get this film completely shot, edited and into the public’s hands. Our fundraising efforts are multifold and include crowd funding, applying to grants and identifying private sponsorship.

Please support our independent project as we attempt tell a detailed and nuanced story of the Sinterklaas and Zwarte Piet tradition in the Netherlands.
